Two Nights Before Xmas on Greasy Kid Stuff
A couple of years ago, ye might remember, we put together a show called A Pirates Xmas up at the Aladdin Theater. It was a great and wondrous day as we packed that old theater to the rafters with Pollywogg crewmates. Twas beautiful enough to bring a tear me squinty eye.
An original holiday poem, by yours truly, made its debut at that show. It was called “Two Nights Before Xmas” and it was warmly received by the festive focsle hands. Now, while many a request has come in for a recording of it, we have yet to oblige ye on that front. Here be the next best thing:
On tomorrow mornings Greasy Kid Stuff radio show (on 94.7 fm) our dear pals Belinda, Hova, and DJ Wah-wah will start things off with a recording of the original live performance of the poem on that fateful day. Then the hand-picked holiday music from the Greasy Kid Stuff vault will spiral in into a gooey, xmassy, delight. So blow the dust off the old tape deck and tune in promptly at 8 am and you you just might capture it for yerself.
Theres a lot more brewin in the galley for Two-Thousand-and-8ight, like The Ghosts of Treasure Island with Oregon Childrens Theater… and oh, I dunno, just a brand, NEW ALBUM FROM CAPTAIN BOGG & SALTY!
But I will be back to tell you about that in the New Year.
Until then my stout-hearted mates I wish ye all the joyous treasures of season, and may all your Holiday Hoo-Ha have just a wee bit of YAR around the edges.
