Sept. 19th aka Talk Like A Pirate Day

It aint like ye needs permission, but there is one day on the docket that every lubber and fortune-hunter alike can squint and growl and gargle grog just about any old where… it’s Talk Like A Pirate Day, so brush up on your piratical grammatical and let your radius know that you can summon a broadside a might more mighty than a mere “arrgh”. If you needs a tutorial try some Proper Pirate Parlance or if you have a few more seasons of grog under yer belt visit the Talk Like A Pirate Guys

Pirates of th Great Salt Lake

Speaking of some of you swarthier crew mates… a new independent feature film that you may have heard tell of, Pirates of the Great Salt Lake is set to drop anchor here on Sept. 19th for it’s Portland premiere. Several of our favorite pirate pals will be there, The MacKay and Quicksilver, and they be hoping for a mob of miscreants to join them and help add some wind to the sails of this film and to take it into the into the glorious straights of distribution.

Alas, The Pollywogg crew will not be able to attend this screening, as they are embroiled in preparation for the 2nd annual Portland Pirate Festival.

This be the big one maties. Stand at the ready, for all compasses point to Cathedral Park, St. Johns, September 22nd & 23rd. As you are undoubtedly aware, this is the ultimate pirate party for every-member-of-yer-crew!

Ye should be there, says I, for not only is it an epic event but it will also be a chance to bid farewell to the Strongest Man in the World….

Bon Voyage Buckle

Yes, it be true, our beloved Pollywogg gunner, Buckle, is making sail for a mysterious land of fabled riches called New York. I know, I know, tis a strange tide to loose our beloved Scallywagg for a while, but his golden tones and dramatic stature are sorely needed in that there dream-town and frankly it is right stingy of us to horde him all to ourselves. The wind’ll blow him back this way from time to time, never ye fear, but for now his orders issue him East under his own command.

We’ll not give him up with out one more volly of pirate-rock, however. Join us at the Portland Pirate Festival as the Pollywogg Six takes the helm and help us bid Bon Voyage to our Buckle.

awwwwwwwwww, losing Buckle to NY. Well it was bound to happen. He is quite dramatic!!! hope he dons his kilt for the shows this weekend. (love that spin!!)

I’m having a BLAST at Pirate Festial and was right up by the stage fer yur show Saturday night. (the lighting sukked cuz I couldn’t see Buckle, though!!) but the show was the best I’ve seen!! You all rocked Portland bigger than the cannons on the ships!! Gonna git me that Buckle Hug you promised before you leave tomorrow night! Best of luck but please come home often and soon!! We love you!!

Yesterday was the BEST day of my life! Buckle, we’ll miss you…my brother was really happy to see you juggle cannonballs. thanks kevin/mcgraw for the show and just generally being alive. you’re awesome. !!!
