Be it Trick or Treat for Ye?

· Wednesday October 25, 2006 by Captain Bogg ·

Confectionary or Skullduggery? Tis the season shipmates, but since we spend a great deal of our piratical lives trickin’, this time of year we likes to just do a bit of treatin’. So here be a couple treats for all you faithful hands from Captain Bogg & Salty.

PIECES OF 8IGHT MUSIC VIDEO

Finally, the wait is over. Starting this here Saturday the 28th you can check out this maiden voyage of the Pollywogg in their first ever, world premiere music video. You can watch it. You can download it. You can email your friends in Banff, Canada and say, “These are the pirates we are talking about”. You can pause it, rewind it, and scour it for continuity errors. You can join Captain Bogg & Salty as they turn mild mannered Creston Elementary School into a rollicking pirate playhouse with the help of a dedicated crew of fans. And you can do all this right on eatalime.com … for FREE!

A bit of history on the caper itself—On July 6th, 2006 many a bold-heart volunteered to join us for a long day of filming the same song over and over and over again. It was that exhausting kind of fun that happens at theme-parks and weekend trips to Tortuga. Food Chain Films, Director Vance Malone , and Producers David Cress and Sarah McMurray guided all our crews through the squall-like conditions of a film set to achieve great victory. Local comic guru, John Breen took the wheel of this all-star cast of Pollywoggers to lead us to safe harbour.

To each and everyone of you who contributed to this celluloid adventure, you have as much thanks as a pirate can muster. All the individual crew families that donated their time and talent to the day have our sincere gratitude, as well as their very own, limited edition DVD of the video!

Now ye wish ye were there, huh matey? Well, watch the video this Saturday, (but to truly get the feel for what it was like to be there, watch it about 23 times in a row, standing up).

THREE MORE NIGHTS OF FREE SHOWS
AT “SCREAM AT THE BEACH”

We’ve been playing shows aplenty at the Jantzen Beach haunted attraction known as Scream at the Beach, but like those candy corns that make their way to the bottom of the bag, we got a few more left.

There is no ticket required to join us in the main building of the attraction in the area known as “Monster Theater” for some spooky-rockin pirate tunes. Our 30 minute performances are @ 8, 9, and 10 PM on Friday the 27th and Saturday the 28th. We also have two performances scheduled for Halloween itself, Tuesday night at 8 and 9 PM. Check the Future Sailings section of our website for more info.

Between shows we hang out at our very own merchant booth in the main building. It’s stuffed to the gillys with cool, new Bogg & Salty swagg at special prices (like the longsleeved Dead Men Tell No Tales t-shirt!), so come by and say YAR, if you please.

A WARNING: The attractions at Scream at the Beach are truly scary and many of our young buccaneers will not thank you for bringing them with in half a plank of it. Many monster characters wander about the lobby, as well, that might be a sight too much for young children. However, if you are a seasoned pirate or one of our older fans, your iron constitution shall be rewarded by the menagerie of haunts, ghouls, and zombie sailors.

Fair Winds to Ye Mates!
