Proper Pirate Parlance

or, Take it Easy on the "Arrrrr"s Mate

Since the nation has seen fit to govern us with a National “Talk like a Pirate Day”, I sees it as my duty as a seasoned buccaneer to instruct some of ye quiverin’ Jellyfish in a turn of phrase or two. Use of proper piratical vernacular will grant ye favor in the eyes of swaggerin seadogs, while contrary wise, a steady tide of “yars”, “arrrrs”, and “avasts” wi’out deviation will surely get ye an appointment with Davy Jones. This course shall instruct ye in some of the basic colloquialisms of piracy. Please feel free to read along. In fact, that be an order. Read Along! Let’s begin now.
