Notes from the other coast
We’re back from the treacherous waters of the East Coast, and the voyage was a success. It was probably the most difficult tour we’ve done, partly because of the logistics of moving the five of us, out gear, borrowing more gear, getting good directions, driving in Manhattan, etc., and also because we were playing to folks that on the whole have never even considered pirate music, let alone heard of us. We poured our hearts into each show, and I think we won over most of the people who came to see us. It will be interesting to see what comes of the whole trip—I think we’ve been invited back to play more NYC libraries next August, which is a great start!
Some highlights:

- The matey who wanted to show me his eyepatch. Right in the middle of Sea Monster.
- Bogg’s new way to end shows… “pschaa!”
- Meeting the Cyberchase crew

- Always having the right cash for all the tolls
